USGA GIRLS JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

The WGAM is proud of our three young women who played in the US Girls’ Junior Championship. Unfortunately, none of our players made it past the Round of 32. Congratulations to Julia Ford & Allison Paik for qualifying and playing in the stroke play portion of the event. Megan Khang was the medalist in stroke play, but was eliminated today in the Round of 32. This was Megan’s seventh  appearance in the Girls Junior Championship, which ties a record.  Congratulations to all three young women. The WGAM and Massachusetts are proud of you!

US WOMEN"S OPEN

Rockland’s Megan Khang was the low amateur at the 2015 US Women’s Open!!!!

The WGAM extends heartfelt congratulations to Megan Khang, 17, who shot at 5 over-285- to capture the low amateur honors by one shot.  She was only two strokes shy of the record lowest 72 hole score by an amateur.  Megan recently graduated from Rockland HS and has not committed to college plans.  She is planning to play in the WGAM Amateur Championship!
